When the practice is closed (Monday to Friday from between 18:30 and 08:00 and all day at weekends and Bank Holidays) please ring NHS 111.  This is a freephone number which gives you access to the Lincolnshire Clinical Assessment Service (CAS).  You will be spoken to by a specialist nurse or doctor who will give you advice or arrange for you to be seen at the Urgent Treatment Centre at Lincoln County Hospital (adjacent to A&E).

You should ring this number if you need urgent medical help or advice but it's not a life-threatening situation and cannot wait until the next day to be treated. 

If you dial the normal practice number 01522 500240 you will hear a recorded message asking you to dial 111.  IF FOR ANY REASON THIS SYSTEM FAILS and you are unable to contact the doctor and the emergency persists, then ring 999 without delay.

Emergency Dentist

111 does not deal with dental problems.  If you have a dental emergency please contact the emergency dental centre on 01522 560018.

The Practice offers routine appointment for the Doctor, Nurse and Phlebotomist outside our core hours:

• Monday 18:30 - 20.00 
• Wednesday 07:00 - 08:00
• Friday 07:00 - 08:00

Richmond Medical Centre is also pleased to be able to offer our patients access to routine appointments between 18:30 and 20.00 on one Friday per month and between 09.00 and 17.00 on one Saturday per month on a rota basis with other Practices in the Primary Care Network.

Pre-bookable routine appointments outside our opening hours called Extended Hours are provided by Apex Primary Care Network commissioned by Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board

A patient may also be offered an option of attending an appointment that will be held at one of the other medical practices in Apex, either Woodland Medical Practice, Boultham Park Medical Surgery, or Richmond Medical Practice.

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need to:

• Go to an Urgent Treatment Centre
